Needs better resource allocation. When you have people that meet your URGENT NEED criterion....you should be bumping less rare blood types back.

Donated for the first time yesterday at work (sponsored by UMA in Tampa) and its was an amazing experience. The staff stayed about two hours late just to honor us that was still in line. I felt light headed after the process and they new EXACTLY what to do. I knew I was in good hands. Thank you one blood.
This was the first time in my life I was able to give blood. I have always wanted to, but because of my blood pressure always being to low I could never give. Thank you, for making it very comfortable for me and making me feel not so nervous. I look forward to donating again in the very near future.
So I just came in thinking they opened at 8am but they open at 9am. Thats not the point tho. So I ask the guy that works there if I can donate today and he basically turned me down saying they are only taking O positive and O negative blood. What blood donor place says no to a donation? I worked at NY Blood Center in NY and they always urged everyone to donate no matter what blood type you were. What a waste of time smh #PULSE
With all the amazing people donating I'm sure one blood could use all the help they can get! I'm sure all the people your company laid off these past couple of years (some about to hit 20 years with you) would be helpful right about now.
I donate every chance I can because I am alive today because of the donated blood that saved my life in 1995 after a horrible auto accident in NY.
