One Trick Pony is a great place for dinner with friends. I had one of the specials, a grouper basket, and it was excellent. Bar drinks are good and they have a great selection of beers on tap. They had live music the night we were there, and the place was packed with people enjoying the food and the music. They have a posted schedule of other nights with local bands.

Jerk Nachos + Live Jazz w/a Caribbean flava (yes I said flava), you can’t go wrong. I love the fact that the atmosphere felt intimate and welcoming. The bar area had a modern speakeasy feel. Then add the fact that the owner (husband & wife team) check on customers as they introduced themselves to the newbies and embraced the regulars! I will be back!!

This is our favorite spot in Grand Rapids, especially on music nights. I like the changes they make in the menu from time to time, and am particularly fond of the risotto. It’s not often that the owner of an establishment is roaming around making sure everything is OK, but here they do. We’ve had many fun evenings here, and look forward to many more.
