I received a prepaid Swift card as a gift. The back of the card indicates that card can be reissued for $10, and there is a monthly maintenance fee of $2.95. I called to get an expired card reissued and was told that it "was not eligible for reissue." No explanation given. It does not say ANYWHERE on the card that it would not be eligible for reissue. So they just collect all the funds sitting there. This is equivalent to collecting and profiting from "unclaimed property" which legitimate businesses are prohibited from doing... read more
