On The River Restaurant and Catering has been serving the Brazosport area for 25 years. We offer original recipes, prepared right here in our kitchen. We are famous for our fried or grilled Texas Gulf shrimp, fried American farm raised catfish,huge chicken fried steaks, and a variety of great burgers. I haven't had my chance to get there but it is on my list. I've heard some great reviews it's got to be awesome.
Hands down the most professional and most cordial wait staff in the area (and then some) and the food is always superb. And in my opinion Drew is the hardest working most involved restaurant owner around. Always nice to see him there anytime you go eat.

My husband works in this area. I drive into freeport every weekend. This our first dinner On the River was wonderful. Good portions great cornbread and fried pickles. Flounder and shrimp A+ shrimp combo A+. Blue hurricane to wash it down. After all that cobbler & ice cream. And to enjoy a wonderful dinner you need a professional knowledgeable friendly server. Had that too "Batman" you made our evening very enjoyable and we hope your working next time we come. You Rocked it sir! Thank you Mr & Mrs Shannon Rosier
