On The River Restaurant and Catering has been serving the Brazosport area for 25 years. We offer original recipes, prepared right here in our kitchen. We are famous for our fried or grilled Texas Gulf shrimp, fried American farm raised catfish,huge chicken fried steaks, and a variety of great burgers. Celebrated my birthday today with all my family. Very good food. Great service. And friendly staff.
The grilled veggies were lukewarm and were not grilled. The cornbread seemed to be missing something and was hard. The salad didn't have any tomatoes. The oysters were good. The waitress was good. When we complained, she relayed it to the manager who said he would talk to the cook. At that price, we expected to have the same wonderful food we've eaten there in the past. We won't be going there with a party of 6-10 ppl as we've done in the past. May need to replace the cook or something.

Too much pepper in the food ! My burger had tomato.
The fried shrimp was cooked well and tasted great. The garlic potatoes were a little too strong. The blackberry cobbler...wasn't blackberry.
Always a treat to eat here. Great food and service.
