On The River Restaurant and Catering has been serving the Brazosport area for 25 years. We offer original recipes, prepared right here in our kitchen. We are famous for our fried or grilled Texas Gulf shrimp, fried American farm raised catfish,huge chicken fried steaks, and a variety of great burgers. We have always enjoyed eating here. The cornbread and coleslaw is our favorite, along with the fresh fried shrimp. We eat here everytime we are in town.
Good food!! The staff was very engaging. Was there with a large group (20) and I don't believe anyone's order was messed up.
That last time we visited was 13 years ago. I was excited to visit again but was quite disappointed. It wasn't as good as I remember.
This is an excellent restaurant. We will go acknowledge again! Great food fantastic service!!!
As a wedding planner I highly recommend On the River Catering. Last night was the second time we worked with them on an event. The service and staff are awesome! The food was amazing! Mahi Mahi with butter cream sauce .. wow .. and the mashed potatoes .. just no words to describe just how tasty. Thank you Drew and your crew for another amazing job!
I STARTED GOING TO "ON THE RIVER!" WHEN IT WAS ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE PRESENT LOCATION! THAT'S WHEN DREW & PARTNER WOULD BRING THE CORNBREAD TO THE TABLE & FLIP IT OVER & BACK IN THE SKILLET!! JUST CELEBRATED MY 85TH BIRTHDAY THERE ON MARCH 25TH! EVERYTHING WAS GREAT EXCEPT I DID'NT GET TO SEE MY FAVORITE FRIEND DREW!! MAYBE IF I AM STILL ABLE I WELL SEE HIM ON MY "86TH" IN 2017! THANKS FOR KEEPING EVRYTHING PERFECT AS ALWAYS!!

Freshest tasting fried catfish & fried shrimp I've had in a long long time. The Krab au grautin was the most amazing thing I have ever tasted.
Had dinner here tonight the service was great and the food amazing ! Thanks guys.
