Pleasant place to stroll around and look in shops and get a bite to eat. Shops are predictable but still cute.
Loved it. The shops were fun.. and...the history amazing.
What an interesting place...we love wandering around the old buildings and imagining what life must have been like back then...it's also wonderful to go to the Plaza where they play music and everyone of all ages gets up and dances and generally just enjoys life! We like to stay at The Best Western Hacienda Hotel located in the heart of town and explore the shops and of course, start the day with a hearty breakfast at The Old Town Cafe! This is a colorful fun place filled with echoes of the past...go and explore!
We had a great time looking around at all the shops. It really is such a cute and colorful area with some wonderful places to explore. We were very disappointed in the place we picked to eat our lunch. I highly recommend skipping Fred's Mexican restaurant. The food was so gross and our steak in the breakfast burritos were raw so we had passed on eating only chips & salsa. We also was charged a lot for a extremely small guacamole dip. Overall we had a great time but look at reviews before eating at the restaurants.
We love coming here...love the food..love the stores..love the atmosphere...kids don't ever get tired of old town San Diego...lots to see...
What is not to love about this place . I especially enjoyed the live band playing Latin music and enjoyed watching all the young couples 😉 Dance the afternoon away.

Always a great place to stop over for Sat/Sunday breakfast aft a long night a work,, soo much to see/read,,had a great time having brunch wth daughter/Gkids,,,
