Food was great, the atmosphere was full of energy and our server (Melody) was FAN-TAS-TIC!! Serving sizes were tremendous! I highly recommend taking fresh tortillas home with you!
Fast, fresh and delicious food. Highly recommend this restaurant and I will be back to visit the next time I am in San Diego.

We moved away from San Diego 12 years ago. Luckily we are close enough to still visit , we now reside in beautiful Temecula. We use to frequent old town San Diego when we lived there. Old town Mexican cafe use to be one of our favorites. The food was still good. But, We could get past how now you get a small taco shop size plastic container of salsa with your large bag of chips. We ended up using 3. So, wasn't that a waste of plastic containers? Wouldn't it be better to continue to give the table the small bowl of salsa? It ... read more
Crappy service. Food was not good. Refried beans were under cooked. Hard and chewy. Beef taco was awful. I actually was sick the next day. No offer from waiter for drinks. He just asked ready to order? When I asked for water and extra napkins, waiter said: "oh sure. Why not!" And threw his hands in the air. A woman taking pictures said " complimentary pictures?" Had combo #1 the beef taco the meat was terrible had very little cheese on it . The beens were not that refried ,rice was good and Enchiladas were pretty good .Been going there for over twenty years but last two times mediocre at best what's going on there???
Best Mexican food ever!! Service is also good, and I love watching the mamacitas hand making the tortillas We come every time that we are in town
Wonderful and inviting, food and drinks are great.
