We'd like to thank you for checking out the Old Millstream Inn Restaurant and Beer Garden. We have been in operation as a restaurant & bar for well over 25 years (though it's not polite to ask one's age). However, we were shut down from August 2006- 2008 due to a massive fire. After a nice M/C ride, hubby & I were hungry! Found a really cute, outdoor place. Although the waiter called me "sir" :\ , drinks were prompt (although not as I had ordered), food took FOREVER! I was willing to overlook the hair in the little potato-thingy, the spoonful of chicken salad supposing to be my 1/2 sandwich, the oil floating on top of soup that had apparently been waiting a while - I WAS hungry and food seemed OK. How do you turn the cellar of a 150 year old building into one of the coolest spots anywhere ?? You create an awesome patio and serve some of the world's greatest beers, and they will come. Unique food and adding a much needed upstairs dining and bar to match the downstairs. Nobody is a stranger once you're in there for a beer either. I'll keep going back any time on near Main Street St Charles
