RecommendedThis place has been amazing every time we have had to be inpatient. The nursing staff are so very kind and patient. They go out of their way to help at any opportunity given. The volunteers who come by to help pass the time are saints in every sense of the word. There are real life angels around every corner. The people here at Doernbechers posses so much compassion and genuine love for all the patients here. We are so blessed to be able to be so close to this facility.

RecommendedFrom age 20 through age 45, I saw approximately 70 ophthalmologists including interns and students, along with all the tests. I had/have some form of macular degeneration, but no one was able to diagnose the specifics or why this was happening. Dr. Mark Pennesi told me what he thought it was and this was confirmed through genetic testing. My son had to go here for emergency surgery. The medical staff was amazing , our room was awesome and the play areas were awesome also!! I loved that while my son was in surgery they gave me a pager and I New every step of what was going on. The part that I’m not to happy with is afterwards and dealing with billing they are a nightmare!! I want to cry every time I have to call !! Billing department could use some work!
I had surgery last Wednesday! I was so nervous but they are the best! And have the best staff, I really felt like everyone truly cared for you! Being awake was a breeze! So easy! Dr. Nanji was wonderful!!
I was surprised that amount of support that my 12-year-old cousin received today during her surgery. Especially the two child support specialists that explained to her the process, talked about her anxieties about the surgery, and comforted her when she got an IV inserted for the first time. �
