I've ben inpatient at Ochsner NS numerous times and has various testing. It's clean and has pleasant staff. Hospitalist Dr Hill was great, on the telemetry floor Amy is a rock star and everyone in the ICU could not have done more and the ER while busy takes really sick peoples first.. I would not go anyplace else
Be advised that, even though Ochsner may be an 'in network' hospital with your health insurance company, not all services they provide (i.e. ER physician's services) are necessarily going to be in network. Also be advised that if you are unable to pay your Ochsner bill in full within 120 days, they will turn you over to collections. Their billing department will not work with you, even if you are faithfully paying down your balance. Their unwavering rule is '120 days or else!" I have had problems with this hospital back in 2007 with my mom Nothing has changed. Nurses are lazy, uncooprrativr, an need more classes to learn if you want to be a nurse you need to act the roll. If you don't like people don't become a nude. Only nice nurses are up in testing on the 2nf floor by Icu. Other than that.. horrible horrible hospital
I must say that Ochsner has really picked up their game! My Son was triaged within ten minutes of signing in, to the back within ten minutes after being triaged and examined by one of the BEST Doctors on the planet. We had the wonderful pleasure of Dr. Hansen being our ER Doctor. I must say that Dr. Hansen has always gone above and beyond to ensure that my Son was comfortable and well taken care of over the years of visiting the ER. Thank you to the ER staff, The triage nurse and Dr. Hansen for making this trip a great one. ... read more
