Love this hospital and all employees! Always helpful and expedient in their service to us. And the smiles: to see the kindness, compassion and smiles when you are in unknown situations helps ever so much.
The dietary department can't seem to get the diet right for s breastfeeding mother like myself who has a sick child in the hospital and can't leave to get edible food...otherwise the care is great from the medical staff

My mother was in a terminal condition and the nurses and RT at Ochsner Medical Center in Slidell Louisiana were exceptional. I'd like to give a shout out to Lee Miller for being the only person that I left my mother for to go home and get the house ready for Hospice, he gave her her last pain shot. Darla (ICU) , who made the decision for DNR bearable, Jackie ( NA in Tele) for always having my mother cleaned up. I just want to say, the night shift nurse in the er, alison, is the best nurse, and the sweetest woman I've ever met. She was very good with my 6 yr old son. He had to be transfered to a psychiatric hospital and she, till the end of her shift, tried every way she could to get him in a closer hospital than Shreveport. She talked to him, took time to keep checking that he was doing OK, Moved him to a more comfy room, very sweet woman and her good nurse for children!
They really did go out of there way to make sure that I was given the best care and made sure that I was very comfortable. Thank you,O.M.C. NORTHSHORE
While most of the nurses and staff were very helpful I did have one nurse that made me wait a long time for pain meds and to go to the bathroom ( this morning I waited 40 minutes and was about to disconnect myself from my machines. She also made me wait 2 hours and 45 minutes for a blanket and my medication. She also set my machine way to high and I was in severe pain that took her 25 minutes to come adjust it! Like I said most of it was ok but one bad experience with one nurse can leave you very frustrated
