Very, very good! The California roll is better than anything I have tried. Its better than the rolls in California! Excellent! Entrees are delicious. Very creative presentation and very tasty. Service is great! Wonderful atmosphere. I have been a faithful customer for over 3 years. Always good!
Ocean Zen is a pacific rim fusion. Takes the best of several nationalities and makes them better. Their Halibut is top notch and their Sea Bass is the best this side of Seattle.
Just had dinner or attempted to eat the food. The apps ( Wontons) were good the salads were okay but extremely over priced for what you get. But a dining companion summed up my entree ( Linguine with shrimp) in a couple of words... "When you go into a Walmart and the havent cleaned the seafood displays for a week or so that smell is the taste of the shrimp." When Oceans Zen first opened I remember being very impressed with the food, big portions of sushi and amazing salads being the big selling points for me.But since theyve moved to a bigger location, I have noticed a change in their food and havent had a good experience since then.This last time I went, the Caesar salad was very soggy, and not just from the dressing. Good seafood Ocean Zen Pacific Rim is a very good seafood restaurant in the Springfield area. I liked their crab cakes and I thought their service was very good as well.

Fantastic! I reserved the private dining room for our son's college graduation party. We are from out of town and chose Ocean Zen from a friend's recommendation and were very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. This is absolutely the best place to get both sushi and seafood in springfield. try it!
The "crunchy" pieces of sushi are, believe it or not, breaded and deep-fried California rolls. Theyre greasy and unhealthy -- the opposite of what sushi should be. The restaurant is fairly attractive, but the service is pretentious in a way that left my group laughing in the car afterward. The prices are high. The presentation of the food is usually appealing, but tends toward the silly, precarious towers that you used to see in the gourmet magazines a few years ago.
