I had to take my guinea pig, Persephone in last night because she was having difficulty moving her hind legs. Even though they are 40 mins from where I live, it was still very worth it. Every one was patient and polite, explained everything and treated her very well. Thankfully she ended up being okay and the doctor was still very reassuring and didn't make me feel like I was worrying about nothing. I am grateful that OSVS was open and able to take care of Persephone and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
RecommendedI brought my 10 month old Maine Coon in for back pain. Thanks to the wonderful doctors and support staff, my boy is back to normal. I went to Pieper and got a different diagnosis. After seeing Dr. Parsley, my boy had surgery and it back to his kitten self enjoying life❤️

Dr Crain took such good care of our terrier Abby . She is everything that one is looking for in a vet. Professional , knows her stuff and human kindness . She is a true asset to your veterinary and we will be using your services for emergencies from this point on.
I had to bring my cat in for an emergency in the middle of the night. It was pretty traumatic for me and in the end I had to put my cat down, but everyone that assisted was very kind and helpful throughout the couple days my cat was in the hospital. I am glad Ocean State was an option for me and would recommend to anyone.
April 5th my cat was hit by a car and I brought her here and ran in and yelled that I had an emergency. They immediately sprang into action and took her from me and ushered me into a private room as they could see how upset I was. They took such great care of her and informed me of each step. Unfortunately I ultimately had to make a very hard decision. Each person I encountered could not have been kinder and more compassionate. For this I will be forever grateful to everyone there.
My sister took her dog in Thursday for x-rays an there was no radiologist to be able to read results so she has to wait till Monday to find out what’s wrong with her dog now. After spending over $700 they can’t seem to pay someone to be there to do a job. Shame to be calling a facility a 24hr emergency place when you can’t have staff there when needed. Vets make so much money and don’t care about the actual health of your pets at all just their pockets being full. She’s taking her dog elsewhere now.

I was not pleased womith my dogs care at all. He became lethargic and started having bloody diarrhea badly. my normal vet couldnt get him in until the next day so I went here. 3 HOURS later, a $230 bill for blood drawn, a temperature reading, and anti-diarrhea mrdication. And they dont actually know whats wrong. I will never be taking my dog back there.
