The entry level feels like a club, with a large bar, dark paneling and leather seats. The upstairs dining room is more formal with large booths, a small bar, and the patio overlooking Pennsylvania Avenue offers a wonderful view of the Capitol. Grilled meats and fish are the specialty. Lighter entrees are available as well.

My husband & I were treated to this restaurant by the CEO of our franchise while in DC earlier this week. I cannot adequately describe just how amazing our experience was; the staff, our waiter, the chef, and of course the food, everything was beyond phenomenal. The only complaint I would say I have is that The Occidental has now made all other restaurants pale in comparison.
