Business Owner Dr. Robert Bower received his BS from Oklahoma State in 1976, and then his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Oklahoma State University in 1978. Dr. Bower is a past president of the Comanche County Veterinary Medical Association. His areas of special interest include: Ophthalmology (eyes), soft tissue surgeries, and pain management. Dr. Bower has also provided care for the Lawton Police Canines Unit for over 20 years.

Recently, had to take my 2 yrs old wiener schnauzer mix, Rascal, due to injury from a bigger dog. They took such good care of Rascal. Unfortunately after about 10 days, Rascal took a turn for the worse and passed away. It was heartbreaking but the staff at Oak Ridge was so kind. They helped make such an horrible experience a little more bearable.
Doctor Bower, He is the best. He is all about your pet and not the cost. Thanks Dr. Bower our pet would of not made it if it wasn't for your true dedication to your profession!!!
It was late when my Precious had an episode. I couldn't get any other vet to call me back. They not only called me back but seen us at 12 am. Friendly helpful staff, reasonable prices. I highly recommend them. Did I mention I also own @[115758011835408:Rainbow Bridge Can Wait Animal Rescue and Adoption], they are also going to assist in our efforts to help the strays of Lawton!
I really love this place. The first time I used them was years ago on a Sunday afternoon. My 8 yr old Doberman was deathly ill. I called around to all the vets and nobody would see her without cash or a card. Oakridge took a check. The Vet met me at the Center. ( she lived out of town ). She was so good with my dog that I felt very comfortable leaving her. My dog died that night. Dr Bower is the most knowledgable, kindest, and fairest veterinarian I have ever had the pleasure to bring my pets to. I trust him completely. And, he genuinely loves animals <3
