After calling to make an appointment for my daughter and asking whether or not they accepted and were contracted with my daughter's insurance (out of state plan through her dad's employer who also lives in a other state) I was reassured that yes, they were in fact contracted with that specific insurance. Insurance plans can be numerous and confusing in the present marketplace. We accept many types of insurance even though we may not be contracted with a specific insurer. We try hard to get current information about a patient’s specific plan but sometimes the information received through phone conversation with the insurance company proves to be inaccurate after billing. $185 for minimal routine cleaning (NO x-rays) is outta my budget. I'm leaving Oakpark for sensible pricing. No way I'll pay this much. When a staff person called for appointment reminder, she informed me that an annual plan was available. Too late, said I. That option should have been explained initially when I first become a patient.

Was a bit Leary at first, because of the beautiful landscaping and building. Some one has to pay for that. The Leary tuned out to be A very good dentist, and the staff quickly informed me of the charges I was facing. All information was positive and reasonable. I'm chopping down on my upper plate and smiling just to show off my new teeth !
