Come enjoy her beauty and dream of her rich past . . . Located on the Mississippi River between the historic Louisiana cities of New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Oak Alley Plantation has been called the "Grande Dame of the Great River Road". Words cannot express the love that I feel for Oak Alley, ever since I learned about it in grade school! The Plantation has made improvements over the years to make your visit more enjoyable! Be sure to walk around the grounds and stop in the restaurant! Delicious! Not everyone can see a sugar Plantation!
Wow! This plantation is absolutely beautiful. And the history was very interesting. Thank you!
This was an amazing experience I truly loved it the house was beautiful with a great and knowledgable tour guide. I likes the traditional costumes they wore. The slave area was very interesting but I would of liked more from this area. This is history we should not forget and from England I would of liked more information maybe a tour guide dressed for this area as in the house so you can immerse yourself and feel what it was like. I have actually been here several times but the last time was 2003. Boy, was I surprised at how much the whole plantation had changed!! They have added so much, with the restaurant (food was amazing!!) the gift shop, the addition of the slave cabins brought more history to the tour. There was just so much more history and information, then before. So those of you, who like me thought, "been there done that" think again!
Love love love! Fantastic tour and the restaurant was amazing too!!
Saturday, my husband and I had our wedding at Oak Alley Plantation and we absolutely loved it. Our guest from Minnesota enjoyed the staff's hospitality! We're thankful we chose such an amazing venue! If you choose this place for a wedding, hope you ask for Penny, she is wonderful!
Awesome experience. Everyone should visit. Very educational.
Always so beautiful, the grounds are immaculate and the history is so fascinating! I love visiting Oak Alley! Only wished they would keep a better stock of t-shirts, wasn't able to buy a t-shirt because they did not have any size large!
One of the most amazing places I visited in my life.
