A beautiful hotel that has up kept the charms of yesteryear. The staff was great, the room's were well kept, comfortable and clean, and the food wasn't bad. Very convenient. We will stay here again

Oyster Bar was FANTASTIC! As a New Englander I am a seafood snob! Never expected this kind of seafood in Reno (no less)! It was great. Thanks...and oh yeah...we'll be back!
Although we did not enter the actual casino. We were there for the Nugget Rib Cook off. I have been going to the event for 25 years it is not the same as it used to be. The same base 10 cookers and maybe 2 new ones. Kind of lost it's Contest Luster. More of a vender show with ribs available to eat.

We're sorry you didn't enjoy the event as much as you have in the past. There were 22 cookers this year, all of whom have attended in year's past, but some have been coming since the beginning and some have only been a few times. A few friends and I visited the Nugget casino and we're not impressed. The place needs serious renovating. Part of the building on the outside looks to be in need of repair or at least a major remodeling. The main entrance area needs more light or at least natural light as it looks like a tunnel at an airport. Again, the initial impression was this place needs a renovation...it looked like you were stepping back into the 80's. But not in a good way. The casino floor plan is a mess.
