First time in the Reno area for an event and we stayed here 4 nights. We stayed in a newly renovated room and I have to say I was impressed. As nice as any room I've stayed at in Vegas (MGM, New York, Paris). The casino area is definitely smaller than their Vegas counterparts but they have the typical ratio of slots and table games. Drinks and food are CHEAP! The buffet is small but I thought the food was just as good as any other. For the price, I can't complain. I would definitely stay here again.

Very disappointed went on a Hot August Nights website clicked on event schedule found that the Nugget was doing drag races. At the bottom of the page it says all entertainment free unless a price is specified. There was prices for concert in side and a few other events. None for drag races get there and it is$10 per person not just adults but everyone. I have an 8 year old so sad to see that the Nugget no longer Cares to bring in families. I also did not see any of the old smiling faces. Sad day of realization.

Not the best experience tonight as the fire alarm was activated and had to wake up my wife and 3 kids to walk down 25 flights of stairs to find that is was a false alarm! The supervisor at the front desk assures me there is nothing they can do to comp me for the trauma of my kids being scared. 5 minutes after getting back into our room the alarm goes off again and has been on for 20 minutes so far. Between 2 paranoid kids and a baby who is not easily going back to sleep this is definitely not the business! Nugget management ... read more

The only reason we went there was for the pool on a rainy weekend. We even let that be known to the lady checking us in. They never once told us the pool was closed! We went to our room and got ready to hit the pool just to find out it was closed. The maintenance guy said it might take a couple hours but for sure it would be open tomorrow. The next morning it was still closed! Very disappointed. The only reason me & my 2 boys were staying there was to utilize the pool! $70 wasted! Stayed here for Bingo. Have stayed in years past. Will not be staying here again. Very outdated. Had much more fun downtown at the Silver Legacy. Check in took over an hour. Need to update if you want to keep up with the competition.

Only problem is parking away from the room and need sign direction from parking area to reception area. So far I'm happy. Clean place and good for family vacation. 👍

I like it, it's just seems that nothing here is open�. The pool isn't till Wednesday, and the gym and the spa is under construction �, but everything else is perfect.

Very disappointed. It's under renovation and the website didn't mention that. Gilley's is closed and there's really no other entertainment for non gamblers. Had crappy service at The Oyster Bar and the food at Rosie's was mediocre.
