If I could rate this Emergency Department with a -5 I would. I have never experienced such unprofessional, disgusting and rude people in my life. I am speechless.

Norton Hospital is an excellent place to be when you are ill or need surgery. My husband (This is his wife posting this) is once again here for surgery and the staff is amazing. We were here in October of last year and had the same experience. While it's no fun being in a hospital everyone does their utmost to make you comfortable and provide you with what you might need. The staff without fail asks before they leave the room if there is anything they can get or do for you. The food is good and always hot when it arrives in ... read more

This is not a very good Hospital. My daughter-in-law had just given birth and she was in a teeny tiny little room. There was no hot water in the shower. The recliner for my son to sleep in was broken. And the nurses didn't seem very motivated to do anything about either one of those problems. The waiting rooms were dirty. The chairs were stained and filthy. There was no remote for the television and no way to increase or decrease the volume or the channels. I've seen so much better at other hospitals. This Norton's is shamef... read more

I had a spinal lumbar fusion there back on June 22. It was the first major surgery and I told them and Dr. Casnellie I was petrified. My surgery went well and I stayed in 4H. The nurses that night were great. I had to stay 2 nights there and everyone was wonderful to me. I never had to wait for them when i buzzed. They answered all my questions I asked. If I stay at any hospital I want it to be Nortons downtown. I had to go in a Kentucky One hospital a week after leaving Nortons as that's were I was taken . That was a nightm... read more

I was there December 22nd for a mylagram nothing but professional. Everyone was very nice & went above & beyond to be helpful to my husband & myself. They took care of me in a very timely matter & told me everything they was getting ready to do to me & would ask if I had any questions. They even had breakfast brought to me as soon as I was brought back to my room after my procedure. Very professional staff.

While they were extremely busy and it did take a while to be seen (u have to expect that in the ER), everyone was very nice to me and made all my pain go away. Very happy with this hospital.
