I had my pre surgery test yesterday and everything went smoothly and was out less then an hour and a half. Surgery is march 31 w dr vitale who will be doing the Whipple procedure due to ampulla tumor. I love dr vitale and he's the greatest doctor ever! Hopefully the hospital stay won't be that bad! 😊
Was at the er last night with a relative..we arrived at 11:20 pm and weren't discharged until almost 6 am!! Extremely slow..things are outdated...room was visibly dirty as well as other areas in the hospital..particularly the floors..(i took pics!!!)numerous bathrooms out of order...oh and all that time for my family member to be diagnosed...nothing given to her for pain at all...
Iv only had one nurse that was rude but I got a new one and she great. I'm happy to be here but can't wait to get out.
Words can't express how grateful my family and I are towards the nursing staff and medical teams that provided care for our mom during both of her stays. Sadly she passed away today (03/21/17) as a result of a combination of health issues that she just couldn't combat any longer. The nursing staff on units 5B, 5M, 2 Giles, 5J, and 4B were outstanding. My pre-surgical testing was my first visit there & the young man that checked me in was very friendly, courteous , professional & helpful. I had parked on street & he allowed me to leave after registering & move my car to valet parking. The nurses & staff that administered my care were also friendly & put me at ease. Everyone seemed to be very good at each of their jobs. A great overall experience compared to some I've had at other hospitals.
I had no problem finding the hospital/parking. When I had made it up to the ICU I was meet with helpful smiles. I had stepped out to find a vending machine some staff had notice me without even asking directed me to the nearest lobby.Both visitor's lounges were clean.
