Dr. Jain did a fine job in removing my cataracts. He was very caring. However, the billing department will not acknowledge that Dr. Jain quoted me $1,200 for a toric lens, which medicare does not pay for, and which I paid prior to the surgery. He also quoted me $1,200 for use of the laser for astigmatism correction in the other eye, which I also paid prior to the surgery. I am still being billed for the toric lens. The medical side of this practice is fine, but the front desk customer service is deeply disappointing. This was my mother’s second time here, and both times Nancy, the patient representative, was incredibly rude, abrupt, and unwelcoming. Today, instead of a greeting, she harshly asked my mother, 'What are you doing here?' while she was waiting to check in. To make matters worse, we watched Nancy warmly greet other patients right after. It is unacceptable to treat patients differently. Front desk staff should be welcoming to... read more
