Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital. Words are not enough to describe this hospital. This hospital is huge, from the emergency area to the main sections and patient rooms. The place is amazing and clean! When I was admitted to my room, it was way better than any hospital I've been to. It's enormous! The blinds, room temperature, window shades, TV, nurses' station, and lighting are all controlled by one patient remote control, among other features. I had a procedure on Saturday. Sharon, the nurse, placed the IV on the top of my left hand, and it was extremely painful. She seemed unconcerned, so I had to call another nurse, who adjusted it slightly to relieve the discomfort. After the procedure, Sharon removed the IV. When I asked for ice to help with the pain, she responded with attitude and reluctance. Throughout my time there, she appeared indifferent to my pain and was slow to respond to calls or check in.
