This charming little track in the western suburb of Northville is the winter site for harness racing in the Detroit area. Racing begins in October, as soon as Hazel Park Raceway closes, and continues to the beginning of April. With some exceptions, racing is five nights a week, with the track dark Wednesdays and Sundays. Bettors can wager on other races from around the country. Went with family and lady that rides the post horse was real good at walking her horse down the rail so everybody could pet horse,they had a value special at snack bar . Only negative,restrooms could have been cleaner!
Went to celebrate a family member's birthday. I wasn't very impressed. The racing was kinda cool, I won $6.40 on the first race. The service wasn't all that great and the food was mediocre. I got the buffet and it was pretty pricey for the selection that was available. The tables in the restaurant area were packed in so tight that it was hard to get in and out. Not sure it's a place I'd ever go back to.
First time there.he never wanted me to go before, But he is 85 now so I went . It was ok. . I even picked and played the winner of the Durby.. just wished I placed a bigger bet ..
Good venue, good people, good food, good times....
I was not happy with the fact they didn't have a handicapped bathroom. My mom is in a wheelchair and had very hard time going to the bathroom, won't be back
We had a great time betting the derby and $2 beers were great
