Northlake Tavern & Pizza House has remained Northwest's fixture for sumptuous and crusty pizzas since 1954. An old-school charm still resonates through the dining room, while the quirky yet unpretentious decor makes it a perfect spot for fun family dinners, friendly night-out and casual pizza hogging. A must-try on the menu would have to be the zesty chicken special and logger special which comes with real Canadian bacon. Beer is also served.

Legendary pizzas keep generations of Huskies happy. – The Scene Everywhere you look, there's UW memorabilia: pictures of the rowing teams here, an old jersey there. There are other items on the menu, but the kitchen is really dedicated to pizzas. Pies are available in three sizes, with a gourmet variety of toppings including artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes. A small pizza will easily fill two people, and four people might bite off more than they can chew with the large.
used to like this place – The last couple of times i've been here I have been disspaointed. The food portions seem smaller too. Last night I got the feeling that the workers are there just to work and don't really care that much about their customers. This is idiotic! The second to last time I went here the manager told us he was closing early. Although he did recommend a place to eat in Fremont, our group of 7 was dissapointed and it was even an hour before their closing hours. Again, intead of taking the opportunity to wow... read more
BEST pizza anywhere. ANYWHERE!!!!! – THE BEST PIZZA ANYWHERE! (OKay maybe exept for Brandi's the 200-year old resterant that invented pizza, in Napoli, Italy) but come-on Nobody beats this stuff in the Northwest man. No way!!!
Yin For Toppings – This place and Tutta Bella represent the Yin/Yang of the pizza world. Tutta Bella is about discretion and perfection. Northlake is about Inspired Excess. These aren't so much pizzas as science projects - How much stuff can we pile onto this crust before it collapses? That said, I LOVED Northlake. I'm an American; I like stuff BIG. While I'd probably rather, given a choice, spend the evening at Tutta, Northlake is THE place if you're hungry and not looking for artistic flair. All that debris atop your crust... read more
Northlake Rocks – This place is a legend that lives up to the reputation. Everyone must have pizza at the Northlake at least once in their life to be complete. It absolutely completes the deal if the experience is before or after a UW football game.
Love is blind – I can't find anything to recommend this place- average pizza, surly service, rickety tables and chairs, lousy parking, no waiting area. I've given it three tries within the last five years and it's off my list.
the pizza is the most overrated in Seattle, the crust is terrible, a hard plate of crust with a dough rim to hold a mountain of various toppings. It really isn't pizza as much as a hodge podge of pizza toppings plopped into a crust. If portions is what you are after than you will enjoy. Otherwise, the crust, sauce, toppings... substandard.
A Real Treat – I have been visiting Northlake for over 30 years. It has been consistently the best pizza through the years. None other has demonstrated that they can maintain the quality like Northlake Tavern and Pizza House. You may have to wait in line at times to be seated but it's well worth it.
Average Pizza – While the pizza here isn't breaking any world records, it is pretty good. Northlake Tavern is a great place to go with a group of friends, enjoy some pizza and a pitcher or two of beer. The place can get busy on weekends which slows down the service greatly. If the place is busy all I can say is just relax and wait.
