I've gone 60 years and never been seriously ill and I always got the jitters just visiting people in a hospital. Then I finally give in and get a colonoscopy and, "voila ", guess who has colon cancer! Since that discovery about Labor Day, I've had colon surgery (with 5 days in the hospital ) and just got a port installed at the same day surgery. I am proud to say I have worked for Northfield Hospital for 15+ years. My coworkers are like family. And with our recent loss in the Surgery Dept., EVEN THOUGH IT MAY COST THE HOSPITAL MONEY, they are willing to close the department early to allow us to honor our friend and coworker Brian Schultz. THAT is one example of why we are blessed to be a part of this organization.

My daughter was recently seen in the ER and for follow up at the clinic. Due to her special needs, everything is a little more of a challenge with her but the doctors, nurses, x-ray and lab techs all did an incredible job with her. Thank you for taking the extra time and care!!
