We recently took our 7 month old German Shepherd to NMAH to be one of the first patients in the Charlotte region to undergo a laparoscopic gastropexy(stomach tacking to the rib cage to prevent the stomach from flipping) and spraying procedure, that typically would have had to be done at NC State University. Dr James performed the procedure , and we wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to do it. Wonderful staff, truly empathetic and knowledgeable. I went here with my puppy that had a medical issue on a Sunday due to my regular vet being closed. I will now be changing vets! The facility is top notch and they even gave me a tour of the boarding facilities.
My cat, Mykonos, is a terrible Traveler and I have mobility issues so it is hard to get him in to see the vet , so we often opt for the luxury of a mobile vet. I had one of those occasions when it was not possible to get the mobile vet so we took off 2 North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital where we were welcomed with open arms and a great staff. North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital just found a tumor that Animal Hospital of Cornelius and Mooresville Animal Hospital missed - despite recent visits to both of these vets over the past month. We will never take our dogs anyplace else.

I never really write reviews, but I feel moved to do so after my recent experience! Yesterday my 4 month old baby Jax took a leap out of the car window, causing him to break his femur. Living in Mooresville, I was a mess and in full panic because our vet and all surrounding ones were closed. I instantly pulled over and while my boyfriend held Jax, I looked up animal hospitals in Cornelius. Fortunately this hospital was open. I immediately called and headed their way. Great doctors and staff! It’s been a tough year losing three fur babies but a class act got me thru it.
I can’t say enough good things about our experience here, although we had to put our dog down on Christmas Eve, we had never been here before and it was a great experience. Dr Kritzinger and the staff showed so much kindness and grace to us and our dog. The cost was very reasonable. I will definitely come back in the future when we have another dog. Thank you all so much.
