It took about 2 hours to go through passport control. The queue stretched all the way down the hall and was about 40 minutes to even get into the main control room. They need to have more officers on duty as well as implement the machines that they have at other US airports where repeat visitors can scan their passports and bypass all the mundane questioning that happens at the booths. Zzzzzzz

Business response:

Very sorry you had a long wait. U.S. citizens can save a lot of time by downloading and using the Mobile Passport app. You can fill out answers to all the "mundane" questions while on your flight, submit the data when you land and bypass much of the long wait: http://www.mobilepassport.us

I was upset with a TSA agent scolding a elderly woman for having a bottle of wetter in her bag. Learn some respect for your elders. There is a nice way to say things and get your point across.

My father and I were seeing my son off on his flight back to Camp Pendleton in San Diego. He was on leave for Christmas. Alaskan Airlines was so kind they gave my father and I both passes so we could hang out with my boy until he boarded the plane. They didn't have to do that but they did and it meant the world to me! I'm very happy to say the whole experience was great!

Checking in for my flight was a breeze in this beautiful, small airport. Alaska Airlines was great! The TSA security checkpoint took near an hour as inefficiencies were obvious and leadership lacking. The airport has good, diverse food options, but the customer service was slow and lacking process. I waited 10 minutes to even order at SmashBurger and another 15 to get my food. I should have just gone to a sit down restaurant at that point. Boarding my flight was easy and efficient. Again, Alaska Airlines was great!
