Its OK-pretty clean, but I was bummed to find out there is no Admiral's Club there any more.
As a worldwide business traveller that goes to San Jose a few times a year, the airport security/TSA is near the worst. Lines slow, half the time TSA PreCheck line is NOT open, the TSA agents ALWAYS seem to be in a bad mood, and the line routinely takes near an hour. When you do finally get through, there are a few places to eat that are pretty good. The prices, especially alcohol, mimics the horribly inflated prices ALL throughout the San Jose area. Very small airport. Stay away from Jamba Juice, the customer service is horrible. Southwest Airlines also wasn't very hospitable upon checkin, but it's not an airline I typically use. TSA was great, very fast and easy.

The airpot itself is beautiful and well run. The rental car aspect is very slow. It shpuld not take 15 minutes to pickup a reserved rental.
