One of the best Chinese restaurants – I think Ocean Star is one of the best places for authentic Chinese food. You can't go wrong with their specials, although I've only seen that menu written in Chinese. DimSum is excellent also. I recommend any seafood dish.
Excellent Dim Sum – Compared with other dim sum palaces (in Chinatown and the San Gabriel Valley), Ocean Star has more variety, and offers many dishes that are unfamiliar to the non-Chinese palate. You will see much more than the usual har gow, shui mai and pork buns. On a recent dim sum binge that included Empress Harbor, NBC, Empress Pavilion and Ocean Star, my boyfriend and I decided we liked Ocean Star the best. If you get there early, there's not a wait and the waitresses will carefully explain each dish to you.
