This restaurant is very hyped up and it totally lived up to its reputation last night. The food was excellent with well balanced flavours. We had the Tuna Tataki, Yellowtail with Jalapeño appetizer, Black Cod Miso, Rock Shrimp, Salmon Belly Sashimi, Salmon/Avocado Maki, Yellowtail and Jalapeño Maki. The food is not exceptional for the price. We probably had high expection coming in because everyones talking about Nobu so when we got there it immediately died because the decor and vibe looks like just a regular sushi restaurant just happened to be smacked inside a fancy hotel, in the middle of financial district. I am disappointed by the unprofessional service at Nobu Toronto. Our server announced the bill total out loud in front of clients—completely inappropriate for what should have been a private matter. The bill was also brought without being requested, as if it was assumed we wouldn’t be ordering anything else. When we raised this with the manager, they denied it ever happened, which only made the experience worse. I’ve never had a negative experience at a Nobu until now. I will not be returning and strongly do not recommend.
It was quite loud when I was there. Food is delicious
