Seafood Chowder Review at the No Name Restaurant – New to the World Trade area, I was interested in seafood, since the oldest seafood in the country is nearby. Signs seemed to lead me to the "No Name restuarant." I grabbed a paper menu from the hostess who told me to go upstairs in which there are a good number of tables and a bar for an overall somewhat seedy appearance. This definitely had the Southie look and feel to it. I was told by some locals to sit at any table and finally when a waiter came by and I told him I wante... read more

No Name Restaurant – The entire experience of going to this restaurant was very disapointing. We were recommended this restaurant by local people and it turned out to have horrible food and be way over priced. Long John Silver's has much better sea food than this restaurant. What a waste of time and money!! I guess the wait staff was ok. That is why I am even giving it one star. Seriously, save some money and eat at Long John Silver's if you have the choice between there and No Name's... no name, no taste , no good!

Best fried oysters ever – My colleague and I walked to No Name from Rows Warf after we returned from whale watching, where we heard about the restaurant. We had no preconceived notions other than that the seafood is very fresh, and we were not disappointed. We went there for the seafood alone, but we found our Greek waiter to be friendly and funny, and service was very fast. Approach No Name with a positive attitude and be friendly with the staff, and you will not be disappointed if it is fresh seafood that you are looking f... read more

Bullshirt! Beer and wine only, no full liquor licence... not worth the time!! Too far out of the way!! – Not what i was lookin' for... I wanted a place to take some out of towners to... for a great meal with good atmosphere... I was early, so i ponied up to the bar, and waited for my guests to arrive... at the bar i ordered a scotch, and was told beer and wine only. I contacted my out of town guests that were just jumping into a cab to meet me, and told them to stand by, and came up with plan B..

How many stars? – How can the overall rating for this place be 4 1/2 stars when half of all of the reviews give only 1 star? This is simply not a good restaurant. They're going on the past reputation of what used to be a great place. I'm not sure who's giving them a 5 star review - maybe the owner or his relatives? Bad food, bad service, lacking in cleanliness equals just plain bad!! I really don't know how this place stays open. Maybe it's the busloads of tourists that are forced to eat there. The owners must have a contrac... read more

We went there for lunch on Sat, the food was not as good as people said it would be. I think this place is SOO overrated. The seafood chowder wasn't as good as expected, Quincy market is way better!!!

What a terrible, all around experience! – I can't believe how the quality and customer service has gone down since our last visit to the No Name! From the greeter who never even said "hello" and just said "Up Stairs" as she pointed with her finger, to the person who seated us yelling across the room "how many", to the dirty table and chairs, to the waiter who served the table next to us, to the greasy, tasteless food that was served. And yet, the bus loads of tourists kept pouring in. Get 'em in and get 'em out! I've never s... read more

No Name for the bad food... – This place was really great 10-15 years ago, but they've been resting on their laurels for far too long. They get tourists and fleece them of their money and serve them flavorless food. Our last visit (read into it all you like) was pretty excruciating. Unforgivable culinary problems like serving fish completely without seasoning. My wife had lobster that was a rubbery, overcooked. The wait staff hung out at the bar, despite the crowds. We tried many times to get her attention. She hardly spoke ... read more
