I have a name for no name "crappy" – The restaraunt was so lousy. The lobster was not well done the steak was awful and they didn't serve anything but water the waiter didn't even ask if there was anything else we could be assistied with. I think that was the most awful seafood restaruant I have ever seen or tried in my life. The lady at the front door is so rude as soon as you walk in she lets a grunt as if she saying "Hello" then tells you to go up stairs.

No Name, No Go – Let me start by saying that I used to LOVE the No Name Restaurant, however, the last two times I was there I was really disappointed. I took some friends there after raving about the fried clams, and we got possibly the worst fried clams I have ever seen. When we complained to the waiter, he confessed that they were out of clams! And that these were the dregs of whatever was left! And I even gave the place another chance (call me crazy) but was not happy with the fish. So, the No Name is now on my list of No... read more

Have some cheese with that "whine"! – The whiney critics that complain about the food at the "No Name" obviously do NOT appreciate good seafood. Most seem like they must be tons of fun to dine with.... jeeesh! I have enjoyed the food at the No Name in general and the Fish Chowdah in particular, for over 20 years. I have had the pleasure of dining all over the world, and I simply can not imagine how one could have such little taste, as not to appreciate the fare that this place has to offer. The only thing I can possibly imag... read more

Great Seafood! – My dad starting going here when he was in college. Now that I go to college here in Boston this has become one of my favorites as well. The seafood is always fresh and you can never go wrong with a lobster dinner for under $20!! I definately recommend the No Name for someone who wants a real taste of Boston.

Grease Pit & Water Chowder – I visted this restaurant back in 94 and it provided great service and great food at cheap prices. Well it's 2002 and the service is not that great, except the wait staff will hard sell you out of ordering the broiled lobster - why? There tiny!!! Anyway the prices went up and the food is either overcooked or way to greasy. And the killer - the chowder - the chowder at No name was chunky and thick, now it's chunky with shells and a nice layer of grease ontop of the chowder that has the consistency ... read more

yuck – Fried food and nothing but. DOn't have a clue why so many people love this grease pit. Food isn't that great, selection very limited, sit with strangers at your table and no view.

No Good Restaurant – I ate at the No Name Restaurant a year ago and was extremely dissapointed. The food was sub-par, the atmosphere was diner-esque, and the service was strained. I know good seafood. . . "No name" is no good.
