I have been going there since 1955 and always enjoy the chowder, broiled fish, lobster and homemade pies. We go there whenever we are in that neighborhood.
great lobstah roll, very expensive. A bit of a tourist trap I suppose, but worth the experience for sure.
referred to us by two Bostonians. Fresh seafood. Sautéed combo has everything but a little overdone and blend. But again fresh is the key word here so can't complain too much. Don't do fried fish sandwich because it's way too blend. Samuel Adams on the tab is good ( called something like a red brick). Ice cream is a joke, no taste and costs $4.50. Guess that's their tourist trap (my 8-year old's words). My friend ordered broiled lobster (with many other sea items on the plate) and it tastes good. Fresh cole slaw and fresh fr... read more
The No Name is a wonderful place to get a great fish dinner at a very reasonable price.
Always have the seafood chowdah! This is the best seafood in the USA :)
Came here on a business trip and was advise by a friend to come here. Glad we did; awesome food, big portions. The lobster is great and really well priced!
Pass on this one ....really!!! – The local tour guides recommend this restaurant. The seafood chowder was packed with bland mushy over cooked white fish and two small shrimp. The coleslaw had no flavor; the grilled seafood platter was disappointing with one scallop, two small shrimp, over cooked small pieces of sword fish, scrod and salmon. The 12 oz. can of diet coke was warmer than the french fries. The kid’s hamburgers appeared to be a Sysco Food product, they were large, reported to be dry and bland. This is your classic... read more
The worst restaurant I've ever experienced!!! – My sister was in town and suggested we go to the NO Name restaurant as she hadn't been there since she moved out of Boston and bragged about how awesome the food and service was. Since I've never been I was looking forward to a nice meal and couldn't wait to check it out. Upon arrival we were told "go upstairs the downstairs area is closed". Okay...... on our way upstairs there was a very fowl odor that turned my stomach and I knew this was a bad idea. Why did we not go to Anth... read more
Went to No Name back in September when I went to Boston for the fall colors. The waiter argued with me when I asked for Equal for my iced tea. A couple of people ordered seafood chowder, and several of us didn't want any but the waiter argued with those of us who didn't want it. The food I ordered was terrible. No flavor or seasoning. I wanted more iced tea, but was ignored. I object to giving a tip for lousy service. And trying to get a "to go" box was next to impossible. The next time I go to Boston, I'll go to Weathervane... read more
