This is what I experienced after a C-Section and BP 75/33 and iron at 20 3 weeks ago. (Needed a blood transfusion but refused.) I was left responsible to care for a precious newborn after major surgery and heavy medication (hydromorphone, pain medication, you name it.) Postpartum refused to take baby to the nursery after I went through all of that because they feared they’d get “dinged” by higher ups and lose grant money. The entire staff was amazing, from the ER to pediatric care. I especially want to thank my L&D nurse, Jessi, for the excellent care she provided, and just for being an ear to listen as I talked through my fears of having a preemie. Thank you all for the incredible birth experience 💙
