HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. absolutely would not recommend anyone taking their children to Niswonger ED. the nurses there were absolutely phenomenal & its so sad the residents and attending failed us.. enough to have to receive care elsewhere.. and they were appalled. the residents have absolutely no clue what they're doing. and if you're hurt or sick on the weekend, you might as well bet you aren't seeing a doctor until the next day. the attending on call .. needs to be called.. how do the attendings truly know to come in when the... read more
All of the nurses made my 4yr old very comfortable. I can’t thank them enough for everything they did during our brief stay.
Every time I’ve came here the nurses have been extremely nice very giving and made us feel so welcome. I was very happy with this place this time.
TLDR: 4 day old baby almost got overdosed on meds due to nurse mistake, mocked for bringing my daughter to ER, and shamed for breastfeeding, gave my daughter 3 lumbar punctures for no reason (which is what they told insurance). Hospital did NOTHING after I filed several complaints about their staff I will never bring my daughter back to this hospital. Our experience was heartbreaking and completely unacceptable.
