My right knee had major range of motion issues, and some pain. I had been unable to bike, and going downstairs was challenging. The physical therapy Dr Wellborn prescribed at VA Sportsmedicine Institute, was transformative. Six months later, my knee is back to normal and I’m back to biking regularly. I am grateful.
I have had a lot of orthopaedic issues. I have been with Nirschl since 2013. Their doctors and staff are great. They have a Physical Therapy Division which is also very good. Dr Wellborn, Dr Root, and just recently Dr Buchanan have gotten me through surgeries. I suggest their PT Division because it enhances your recovery.
This was one of the best Doctor visits I have had. Ms Nicole was so pleasant as was all the staff members who attended me. Dr. Root is incredible! I knew I had chosen the best immediately after she begun to analyze my hand! I was telling everyone about my experience! I highly recommend Dr. Root.
Worst office I’ve ever been to. From being forgotten on the first visit, being yelled at, wrong medical device provided, billing incorrect to phone calls not returned. Extremely unprofessional, uncooperative and rude. It’s all documented. Even my insurance company has complaints.
He took the time to talk to me and recommended hopefully a solution
Dr. Ochiai was outstanding. After two years of pain he utilized an intra articular injection to clarify the diagnosis and did a great job with my surgery. He even scheduled a tela-health visit to help avoid a 6 hour car ride. He took time to listen and that made all the difference.
I was struggling to get my daughter in to see an orthopedic Dr. We are not from VA so we were stressed trying to find a DR. my daughter fractured her foot and other offices couldnt get her in for awhile. I called Nirschl office a very kind and lovely woman named Melissa helped me and got my dughter in to see Dr. Walters the next day. Melissa you Rock!! While I would never wish a major meniscus tear on anyone, if you do, and if you’re being frustrated by the system, and you need a place to go that you can feel confident in the competence of the surgeon, and you need a team that makes you feel like they have a vested interest in getting you better, Nirschl is the place to go and Dr Ochiai is your surgeon.
