A relaxing, enjoyable dining experience. – My boyfriend and I love coming to Nippon when we can't decide on a restaurant but both feel like Japanese food. It is so much more laid back than other Japanese restaurants- we don't feel strange showing up in jeans and a t shirt. Despite this, the food is always excellent, filling, and authentic. We rarely spend more than $30, even with alcohol, and are always satisfied.
One of the Best Eateries in Houston!!! – Best thing about this restaurant is that the food quality and preparation is always great... Staff is very friendly and Japanese... Beer is cold and sake and green tea are hot... green tea ice cream is wonderful... always meet and make new friends at the sushi bar... relaxed dinning experience... plan a show, 2-3 hour dinning experience... you will feel so very good when you leave...
Best Sushi in Houston – They have the best sushi in Houston. Been going here for years, and everytime we go to another sushi place, we always say "It's OK, but not as good as Nippon." My only complaint is it always seems to take a long time to get the bill when we're finished (although this is a common complaint of ours at many restaraunts). SUPER DELICIOUS Lived in Japan for a while so believe me their food is just great. Very fresh fish, good quality!!! I deeply recommend their tonkatsu. The price is reasonable and you get with it a salad and a soup. Their fried fish for example, yakii saba is also very original. It taste like in Japan. Service is nice, food is great, prices are good. Go and try it!
some of the best sushi in town!!! – incredible rolls, fried veggies were great, too. have the green tea ice cream after an enjoyable meal. service wasn't spectacular and the place was crowded, but the food makes it well worth it!
Simply the best – The sashimi is the best you can get in Houston. The maguro and sake melt in your mouth. All the rolls are perfect. They have recenlty added a new fried roll, which tastes like a deep fried california roll; stay away from that one. Tempura is lightly battered. The cooler is set at the just the right temperature, your beer is always perfect.
Good service and quality ingredients at a restaurant fit for any occasion. – In Short Excellent sushi draws big weekend crowds to this full-service Japanese bistro. The plush dining room is the setting for bento box lunches, satisfying noodle dishes, teriyaki beef and tempura.
chillinjapan – This is a nice, unpretentious japanese restorant that relies on pretty decent sushi and not the pictures on the wall. Even though their food is not the best, it is fair for the price you pay. The restorant is clean and most of the staff is japanese. I have always had a nice time when i come here. The place is relaxed.
