Cheshire Bridge hideaway brings fine-dining prices to traditional Italian fare. – The Scene An old-world feel pervades every nook and cranny of this cozy trattoria, from the tiny bar to the low-lit main eating area. Cheap reproductions of Italian masterworks hang on the small dining room's dark walls, and an enclosed front deck charms despite its view of Cheshire Bridge. The servers, and many of the diners, appear to have been with the restaurant since its inception in 1968. The Food Time-honored Italian standards--at fine d... read more
First but not last visit – This was a great dining experience from beginning to end. We were promptly seated when we arrived. Our waiter was courteous and attentive. We ordered and had barely finished our bread when our dinner was brought out. The food was wonderful and dessert was even better. I ordered the tiramisu which was out of this world and my date ordered the chocolate raspberry cake which she was very pleased with. We will definetly go back to Nino's.
Shaky start, but..... – Our evening started a little shaky. We where seated by a great big heater that was way to hot, but after they turned it off it was way to cold. Also, they seated us in a smoking section without telling us. After our diner, I can say that it was all worth it! The food was absolutley incredible!!! I highly recommend the 4 cheese penne. I literally cleaned my plate it was so good. The staff was also very cordial, I highly recommend Nino's!
The best of Italian – Upon arrival I was a bit concerned that we had made a bad decision. The location is not the best, however, a step in the door and you are surrounded by Italy. The food was amazing, I recommend the Penne al vodka. The dessert cart was a delight, arriving at our table with numerous tasty treats. You can not go wrong at Ninos.
Old-world Italiano – Make sure you have reservations, but if you don't the folks at Nino's are very helpful getting you in if they can. Everything was great...the attentive service...the food...and the ambience! Two thumbs up for the cozy Italian restaurant. A great place to take your significant other.
Old-School Eating – Old-school Italian restaurant that doesn't try to be trendy. It's located on a very unappealing stretch of Cheshire Bridge Road, but once inside you forget you're surrounded by seedy clubs and used-car lots. Pasta dishes have a nice bite and the tiramisu is melt-in-your-mouth good. A little over-priced but still a good meal.
