About this business

Nino's, opened in 1968, has been owned and operated by Antonio Noviello since 1982. Originally from the Amalfi Coast of southern Italy, Antonio worked in Monte Carlo, then Bermuda where he met his wife Helen, an Atlanta resident. After moving to Atlanta in 1981, Antonio's life-long dream of owning his own restaurant became a reality when he purchased Nino's. For more than twenty years, Antonio has taken pride in serving authentic Italian Cuisine made with fresh, imported ingredients and cooked to order for each guest. His re... read more

Very Romantic Italian in Atlanta – Being the oldest in Atlanta, they have been doing something right. Service is very entertaining. The food is great. The low light and white linen make a very romantic evening. The wine list is limited but decent.

No Frills Italian – Traditional Italian cuisine, nothing fancy. Not the best I?ve ever had but not the worst either. Good service. Try one of their martinis, I hadn?t heard of several of the vodkas.

Always delicious, consistent kitchen, homey service – Lately I've been trying all the new "Italian" hotspots I'd read about. The other night, I returned to Nino's and realized that I don't need to try any other Italian places - Nino's is the most authentic, thoroughly satisfying and consistent meal I've had in a long time. The food manages to be both traditional and innovative at the same time. The special I ordered (a veal chop - out of this world) was so good I had to close my eyes while I ate!! My husband knows when that ... read more

Old School Italian Done Right! – Just down the road from The Colonade, on Cheshire Bridge Road, sits the tiny reliable Nino's. I've been eating on and off here for about twenty-five years. It seems like I just go in cycles with Italian, and this time of year, I'm in that cycle. It's tiny and can be almost overlooked, and parking is not that easy. Once inside, you feel like you are in some cozy Trattoria in Little Italy. Dark red walls, tacky black vinyl booths, and old school servers. It's always the same for me. Clams Orega... read more

Worst Dining Experience in Atlanta – Nino's Cucina was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had in Atlanta all the way around. The service was not just lousy, but rude. The food was barely edible. I ordered a salad with "Italian dressing" (thinking it would be easy for the server to remember since she was SO bad), and that must be some kind of joke in the kitchen there because the dressing was, well frankly I don't know what it was. It was like a gloopy, grey-colored jello-like substance that looked (and tasted -- I ... read more

Great Food...Lousy Service – Last evening after reading the existing reviews on Ninos...we ventured down for dinner. We were promptly seated...and so began the rushed service. Clearly they were understaffed, maybe not so clear to the management. The martinis come in very small glasses, unacceptable given the price. The calamari was chewy at best...there are much better examples of calamari in the city. The Caesar salad was very good, the entrees were all fine examples of great Italian food. As we were coming towards the clos... read more

Great Italian & Great Atmosphere – I've eaten at Nino's a number of times and it keeps getting better. Try the mussels and calamari to start, they keep the calamri light by not frying it so much like other places do. The specials are always winners; and if you like fish you're in luck, it's so fresh and always cooked to perfection. Nino's has a great patio out front, so you can eat outside and enjoy the evening. Save room for dessert, the tiramisu is heaven. Everyone who works there is so friendly, you always feel comfortabl... read more

Family Owned Italian Restaurant Charm – Nino's is kind of unexpected given its location, but then most things on Cheshire Bridge seem incongruous. It is a warm, pleasant restaurant, with delicious food, and classic italian service. Slow paced, and comfortable. The escargot was mediocre, but given that it's so hard to find, was still a treat. Mussels are delicious; if you like Italian and old-world, definitely check this out.

It is like going back North – For those of us who miss all those classic old-school italian restaurants in the North, Nino's is what you are looking for. The food is excellent, the menu is huge and the ambience is perfect. It is like you are stepping into the Godfather movies. I also eat here a lot and the food and service are very dependable.
