The only thing harder than choosing from the reasonably priced, seasonal cuisine at the Night Light Lounge is choosing what you want to drink from their extensive and creative drinks menu. Injecting modern style into an otherwise relaxed atmosphere, the lounge has dark corners with velvet couches and original artworks. Between 3p and 7p, enjoy some of the best happy hour specials in Portland, with generous appetizers and Stella Artois on tap. Bring your laptop and take advantage of free Wi-fi. Seating is also available on th... read more

SE Pdx best bar – Now that the weather is getting warmer, patio drinking is on my mind. I keep seeming to wind up at the nightlight lounge on Clinton and 21st and for good reason. They have a really cool staff, and although they can be overwhelmingly busy at times, as a service industry vet myself I can always appreciate people who remember your name and drink, as they do here. The food is really good too, maybe the best ahi tuna dish I've had in town, including much pricier restaurants. Drink and food specials daily, great ... read more
Best place in the world – I love this place. The staff goes out of it's way to be nice but not in a fake way. It's hard to believe that it's a bar with the great food they serve up it's almost fine dining. Their specialty drink menu has all kinds of cool drinks on it. I especially like the Mike Screw. Keep up the good work.
Horrible Service, Apathetic Attitude at Nightlight...Buyer Beware! – This is the 2nd time I've been to Nightlight. The patio is nice and it was a sunny day so we went back, even though our first experience was underwhelming...slow service. But we figure it must have just been a bad hair day for them. This time it was HORRENDOUS! We were not acknowledged. Had to ask if we could sit down. Then waited for the waiter to come and when he finally did he acted as if we were annoying him. His hair long hair was stringy and greasy an... read more
They Have Connect 4! – You'd be happy to go there on a cold, cold night. They have a jukebox & DJs and all sorts of nice drinks. It's on Clinton & 20th, which might help some.
Great late night find! – We ended up here on a Saturday night around 11pm. It was crowded, but we were able to find a table right away. The food was amazing, best crab cakes I think I've had in Portland. Best dirty marti too. Quick service and super cheap - two entrees, a salad and 2 drinks for $25 (not including tip)! Plus they use local and organic ingredients. Highly recommended.
This neighborhood hangout dishes up comfort food with a side of chill ambience. – In Short Southeast natives flock to this understated cafe and bar for the laid-back atmosphere and filling fare. The dim lights and strong cocktails make it ideal for after-work wind-downs, but the billiards and live music provide opportunities for a good time. Comfort food like mac and cheese, tuna melts and quesadillas provide sustenance for a long night out.
New summer seating!!! – These saavy owners have taken a great neighborhood bar and made it even better with the addition of a back patio. More outdoor seating means more languid happy hours spent sippin' on a Johnny Collins or margarita while watching the lovely and diverse inhabitants of the Clinton/Division neighborhoods stroll by (watching the wait/bar staff is generally easy on the eyes, too). If the smoke inside bothers you, stop wheezing and breathe freely outside at one of the sidewalk tables or under the sheltered pa... read more
Great spot on your way out or on your way home. – Granted it is a little smoky, but the drinks are strong, the food is great and the atmosphere is comforting. It's a great place to meet up with friends before a night out, and a great spot for one more on the way home. Get an air purifier and this place is an ideal neighborhood bar.
I love this place – the night light is a perfect little spot. some of the friendliest staff in town. the crowd is a real mix, and the other patrons generally nice as well. overall it's cozy, and close in. come mid-week: there's a great mellow vibe, and always a smathering of beutiful people. the weekends can get a bit crowded after midnight.
