I have lived here for the majority of my life growing up here was OK but nowadays all I get is harassed by Newton PD police officers I guess they think everyone needs to be perfect and I'm not speaking about the whole force of Newton PD just a few of them are bad seeds an look forward to ruining some people's days my child is even scared of a a few of them she's 7 what does that say. Newton is a great place. On my block alone we have a house that's been abandoned for twelve years, a guy running what looks like a salvage business from his front yard, and right on the corner, as you enter town from the south, a lovely garbage dump. And that's just my block! On Spring Street, the main drag, about 40% of the storefronts are abandoned yet some genius just built a "Senior Retirement Center" there, with...retail space (!) on the first floor! We purchased a fully renovated house and the tranquility and solitude of the neighborhood and environment is priceless.
OMG. That building under construction near the old theater is disgraceful.
