Get directionsAs a dog owner, I am appalled that any breeder would turn puppies over to be auctioned off and outraged that a medical facility would be part if it. I do not live in your town but if I'm ever there I will die on my way to another hospital rather than set foot in your facility. The only reason you for one star is that it wouldn't let me post otherwise.
I am outraged that you feel a puppy auction is an appropriate means of fundraising. Donating a litter of puppies for an auction is not an action of a responsible breeder. Adding a puppy to you home is a serious decision. Not one made in a bidding war after a few cocktails. I urge you to reconsider.
I believe this puppy auction should be cancelled as a dog owner and dog show exhibitor myself this is unethical and the "breeders" if that is what you want to call them should be ASHAMED of such act as putting your litter up to the highest bidder. These are living creatures and homes should be screened if you care at all about these babies that didn't ask to be born. I also believe it is illegal to Auction off puppies or kittens. Please stop this Auction now.
I'm horrified that anyone would auction off a litter of puppies! They are living creatures and deserve the best home for them not the home that pays the most money! How will you guarantee that these people are really going to take care of them and not just want the attention they'd receive as the highest bidder? As a long time breeder, when I place puppies I guarantee the health of each puppy and have in my contract that the dog is to be returned to me if at any time the new owners can not or do not want to continue taking c... read more
Truly disgusting that an institution that's supposed to save lives and promote well being would choose to auction off a life. Is this the 1800's or something? And don't even get me started on a breeder that thinks this is OK!!!!
I think they should be ashamed of allowing a "puppy auction"!!! The "breeders" of these puppies might as well hang a sign saying "puppy mill pups for sale", or "backyard breeder pups to the highest bidder"!!! No responsible breeder would ever THINK of placing puppies this way. Shame on them and shame on Newton Memorial!!
I've never been to this hospital, but any hospital that would auction off puppies to raise funds doesn't even deserve one star.
As a resident of Sussex County, dog owner and Dog Show Exhibtor and some one who had uses the hospital facilities, I am outraged that the Medical Center would even consider auctioning off a litter of puppies. These are living creatures, not a car. I would also suggest that you also check NJ Laws as I believe this is illegal in the State. Everyone contracted with the Hospital that is connected with this fund raiser should be ashamed .
