My goodness, what happened to the old Newport TV Service? Used them in the 90’s to mid 2000. Had a warranty issue recently, the guy sat my TV on our dining table then called someone to ask what to do. Bring back the old. These people are hacks. They should remove service from their name. RUN
I have a Somy 65inch tv that had a mystery problem. It would turn itself off and back on for about 20 mins then stay on. After several weeks the tv just would not turn on. I called Newport and they serviced it in home replacing a the main power board. After a few days it stopped working once again. Newport immediately sent several technicians to my home but had to take the tv into the shop. After further tests they found several breaks in a second power board and fixed the mystery problem. Horrible service. The tech was here for all of 10 min to tell me it was my vent which is far beyond what is recommended. They refuse to assist in anyway and try to threaten with further bills and charges if I wanted the ticket left open. Highly unprofessional. I DO NOT recommend this company.
For starters, this company's responses to bad reviews should be enough to tell you you to refrain from using their service. I'm an authorized retailer for LG appliances. After having a broken floor model LG sent Newport to repair it. The guys ordered parts I knew wouldn't even fix the product. Sure enough they say they have to order the entire lid to fix it.
