Shame on NY Pizzeria – Anyone who thinks this place has NY Pizza has LOST THEIR MIND. The sauce is thick and sugary (everyone knows true NY Sauce is thin with tomato chunks.) The closest thing I found to NY Pizza is Franks Downtown (awesome!) Luigi's in Midtown, and Romano's on West Grey. Save your money and time people. Even though it may not be NY Pizza, in that neighborhood go to Barry's instead.

Bleh – Overall, everything here sucks. I've tried it numerous times since I work downtown, and i'm over it. Not going back ever again. It's just not very good, and way to expensive. 10+ bucks for a crappy lunch? No thanks. Pastabilities is down the street.

good pizza but inconsistent quality – I got the Giant Slice to go from this place twice. The first time around it was great! 5 stars, easily. The second time - this week, actually - the dough was still half-raw closer to the crust, so threw half of the piece out... (would've thrown the whole thing but I was HUNGRY). Thus the rating in the middle. I'd recommend checking that the pizza is hot and toasted through before you take it home/pay for the delivery.

Love this place – They're always quick. We normally call in an oder for pick up and the pizza is always ready and hot when we pick up. Their ingredients/toppings are always fresh. When we do eat at the restaurant the service is good and we feel like we're eating in clean, homey environment.

place is horrible on briarforest – the buffalo wings are nasty, they taste like regular fried chicken with no flavor ,the pizza dough has a dry taste no flavor in the dough, very expensive and its not worth it for what you pay for. Ci Ci pizza taste 100 times better.

Good pizza, but expensive. – My wife is from NY, and we have been looking for a good pizzeria. Russo's opened up near our neighborhood in Germantown, and we have been ordering pizza to go from there for the past year. The pizza itself is very good. However, we have noticed that the quality and amount of topping has been decreasing slightly on the past few orders and the garlic chicken pizza lacked any garlic last time we ordered it. You won't leave there with a pizza in your hand for less than $20 typically which is about $5... read more

Example: great place for good bread – Easily my favorite pizza in houston. To the "horrific" experience reviews, I don't doubt it, the place is pretty casually run, and I'm sure they screw up. Still, it is clean, friendly, and 95% of the time, they really get it right. To all the other negative reviews: learn what NY style pizza means, and if it does not suit your preferences, eat elsewhere. On the other hand, if you love NY style pizza like I do, know that NY pizzeria is a real treasure. Like so many great houston restauran... read more

The best pizza I've had in Houston – We first went here as an afterthought while holiday shopping in Meyerland, and were certainly glad we did -- this place is amazing! HUGE oversized slices came right out of the oven onto our plates, and a surprisingly good rich, creamy New England clam chowder. The only thing that could use a little work was the iceberg salad, which was cool and crisp but a little bland. Definitely reminds me of the family-owned pizzerias up north, even down to the slightly sullen teens working behind the ... read more
