This New York Pizzeria is very good! – My favorite is the caprese, it has fresh mozzarella, basil and tomatoes, DELICIOUS! On Monday's their large pizzas are half off! A large pizza could easily feed three people or four if they all got salads/soups. But if you do this you cannot use your Groupon. The chicken tortellini (Tortellini Brodo )soup was very tasty too! It is a very nice atmosphere, you could wear jeans or wear work clothes. They also had a pretty long wine list if that is important to you.
New York Pizzeria is DA BOMB! – I just ate at the Midtown location with some of my coworkers. I've been eating here a while; the pizza is delicious and the service has ALWAYS been top notch! I brought a bunch of my coworkers down for happy hour for the great drink specials they have ($3 beer and wine) until 7pm. Our server Steve was on top of everything we needed, and the deal we got (10 or more drinkers = 1/2 pizza) was great! Overall, I had a great time, and the location is great too (right in the heart of Midtown). Will D... read more
It was delicious!! – I tried their online ordering. It is user friendly and they are very attentive to your order, at least at the Galleria location. I went with the SoHo pizza, you get three choices for $12.95 (my choices, chiken, roasted peppers and spinach). What a great deal! When I placed the order I accidentally chosen four different toppings without knowing and they called me to make sure I wanted four; which I didn't and was able to make the change. Initially, I thought the pizza would be slightly larger than a perso... read more
Very happy with my meals – I've both used their online ordering for delivery as well as dined in this restaurant. I've been very happy with both! Dine In: Their pizza slices are very large! I got my usual Hawaiian, and was quite happy with it. I also had a garden salad, and it was your usual garden salad fare, and a very nice portion! The restaurant is clean and spacious, and the restrooms are clean (a big plus!). Delivery: Delivery was fast and accurate! I got a pasta dish, and was equally impressed as I was with their pizz... read more
Totally worth it – So I'm not a big fan of Midtown, dealing with parking and overly trendy people... but this place was totally worth it. The ambiance is nice, the pizza was good and the waitress was friendly. When the pizza came out the waitress apologized for the wait, so I guess it took a while, but we didn't notice or feel like we were waiting. I'm a big pizza fan, and I was defiantly happy with this one. The smaller pizza, less than $20 was plenty for two people. I plan to go back, but since it's a chain I might try a d... read more
Going back for more – Great new york style pizzas! Had the New York Village Pizza, which was like a supreme pizza but just better. Price is pretty affordable for the size of the pizza you get. Have already found myself going back for more.
The real deal – New York Pizzeria is the real deal. Giant slices of pizza cut from homemade pies are cooked the old-fashioned way in brick ovens. Hand tossed before your eyes, the Italian and Sicilian pies are the main attractions, while stuffed pizzas like Stromboli and spinach Calzones are also popular choices.
Satisfying my cravings for a taste of home – I wanted to personally thank you for satisfying my cravings for a taste of home. I was born and raised (just like Texas cattle) on the lower east side of Manhattan. I have lived in Houston for ten years and have tried every pizza place in this city. Your restaurant is the ONLY one that has hit the nail on the head! Your pizzas and calzones take me right back to Mulberry Street. I was a steady customer at your Medical Center location and I'm thrilled that you have moved into the ne... read more
Special – Frank Sinatra's on the juke box, fluorescent lights flicker overhead. I could be enjoying "a slice" at John's on Bleeker Street in New York, but I'm not. I'm in Meyerland at New York Pizzeria. "New York pizza has the same deserved reputation as Texas barbecue," said chef and owner Anthony Russo."You can eat pizza in every city in the world, but when you take your first bite of New York pizza, you know it's special."
