Working with Mikal at New Rose Tattoo has been the best tattoo experience I've ever had. She was sweet, talented, listened to what I was looking for in my design (a framed unicorn), and offered helpful suggestions with coloring. The shop was clean and friendly and while I was there (3 times total) the staff were all cheerful and happy to help anyone walking through the door. I highly recommend coming here for a great experience and having a beautiful piece added to your skin.
I had an awesome experience with my artist Mikal and the rest of the staff at New Rose when getting my first ever tattoo! Mikal gave me an estimated time period/price and stuck to it in the end while delivering a beautiful tattoo (photo in the comments below). She gave me plenty of options (like getting the piece done in one session or two), made sure I was comfortable and feeling okay, and she responds very quickly to messages about after care from home! My daughter and I came in for our special mother-daughter tattoo - and it was also my first time. Our artist, Carrie, was friendly and very talented (as all the artists are, I'm sure). Our tattoos came out perfect and we couldn't be happier with the whole experience. The environment and atmosphere definitely cater to the safety and comfort of their customers. Xavier Darling is an excellent artist, and person. I know I will be a repeat offender here. All the staff and artists were welcoming, easy to talk to and the shop is conformable and interesting! After my first session was over I received clear instruction of after care, as well as a healing balm and he was very accommodating for scheduling my next visit.
Great environment and friendly talented artists! I gave Jared an idea that I had for a long time and had a rough thought of what I wanted it to look like. I brought in a photo of a tattoo I liked and he went above and beyond my expectations! It wasn't an exact copy of the tattoo (which is a good thing!) I gave for reference and it's such a unique fun piece that he had created for me. The stencil and outline were perfect and finally started shading yesterday. The whole shop was awesome and friendly but Willis was amazing! Her line work is seriously the best! She's just so cool. Loved our session and will definitely be back!
I got a tattoo here and I showed them a photo and asked if they could do it just like the photo and my artist didn't tell me that he was going to do a completely different style, it's not a bad tattoo, just completely different than what I asked for, and the dude just did whatever he wanted with it. Hi Rhiannon, here at New Rose we make sure that every person gets a custom tattoo; meaning that we do our best to not copy other artists work. Every tattooer has their own unique style. In order to receive that exact photo you brought in, you'd need to see the person who originally did that art. Your tattoo looks like it healed wonderfully!!!
