I went in on Friday to get my hair trimmed up by my friend Mandi, the places I go to I am use to a fast paced in and out style. As I walked in and the atmosphere was a lot different than most other places, it felt very welcoming and warming. As I was getting my hair cut I noticed the attention to detail that was paid to cutting my hair which isn't easy because of my cowlicks. New Art Salon is a nice comfortable atmosphere. All the people there are personable and professional. I’ve been to see Jeff Halverson four times. Each time he’s done an amazing job. There’s nothing he can’t do with hair and I was especially grateful when he was able to fit me in at the last second before my brother’s wedding. When I saw the pictures from the wedding I was incredibly grateful that Jeff is my hair stylist. I HIGHLY recommend him.

I went to New Art looking for a stylist who could handle my thick, high-frizz hair but not cut it too short or boxy, which is what other stylists had done many times. Nate Bjork listened to me, asked lots of questions, and then gave me the cut I wanted but with the styling it needed. He suggested care and styling products but without pressure. Amanda at New Art Salon truley does amazing work. I am very picky about my hair, and do not trust many people doing it. I will only get my hair done my Amanda now. I am very blonde, and died my hair (out of a box) very dark brown with way to much red in it. She worked on my hair to get it back to normal, and I love the color blonde I have now even more. Nathan Bjork at New Art Salon is the best hairstylist I have ever had. I am VERY picky about my hair and he always does an amazing job. Nate has cut, colored, highlighted and styled my hair for about 10 years now and I always walk out happy and receive tons of compliments. He is especially awesome because I often go in and say, "I want something short, but not too short and layered, but not too choppy, okay maybe kinda choppy, but...." and he works his magic and I walk out with the perfect haircut.

Peter Gilliam is simply a brilliant stylist. My boyfriend has extremely straight hair that is very difficult to cut without looking choppy. He has tried many different stylists due to the fact that we move around, but now every time he is visiting Minnesota I insist he see Peter. No one has ever cut his hair the way Peter does, it looks perfectly blended and flawless every time. It also grows out beautifully. From Portland, to Columbus, to Pittsburgh no one has been able to match Peter's talent!

The only response I received from people were stares at my outdated hairstyle and horrific hair color. Now I am getting compliments from people that never noticed me until Peter Gilliam performed his magic. Loving the new me!

Peter does a great job and has been really accommodating when it comes to scheduling. I didn't expect that I'd find someone I'd always want to go back to, but am glad that I did.
