My partner had a macular hole. Originally he was told yrs ago he had Macular degeneration. In a recent visit to his original Dr. he was immediately sent to a specialist, belonging to the same group. I do my home work that nee Dr. did not have great reviews.I did my home work and found Dr. Tezel. A specialist does not even do the man justice. Personable, knowledgeable, excellent clinician
This is a tough one. I saw Tezel in 2018 and he was caring. A good interpreter of all the tech a retina specialist has to hand. This last visit was concerning. I have lived with type 1 diabetes for 48 years and was 'scared straight' as a kid by docs telling me I would go blind. Tezel judged my A1c (7%) and shamed me. I tried to explain that diabetes tech now focuses more on targets and besides I have almost 0 retinopathy which is a huge accomplishment. He was threatening and unkind. Friendly and great expertise
This provider does not explains conditions or tests results well, does not communicate effectively with patient, does not explain conditions well, and doesn't respond to email communications for 10 plus days. Her diagnostic exam was very basic. Definitely recommend going elsewhere.
Responsive and very thorough.
Dr. Burris is AMAZING! She was very thorough in explaining her assessment and treatment methods for hair loss, using both medical terminology alongside the laymen's term correlates. As a graduate student who is familiar with more advanced terminology, I appreciated her specific explanations. She did not rush out, and answered all of my questions. Had her fill in for my regular doctor during the holidays. She seemed in a rush to be somewhere else, although there was no one in the waiting area.I prepared my questions ahead of time so they were as succinct as can be, but she cut me off each time with brusk, condescending and dismissive responses. On balance, perhaps her manners could be great in corrective law enforcement. But it’s not appropriate as an OB for women during their most vulnerable time.
